After 10 years of woodturning, I have learned to love the beauty and feel of working with wood. The wood I use is collected from recently felled trees, it is then cut with a chainsaw to a size I can work with on a lathe. Once wood is put on a lathe the shaping of the wood into a beautiful turned object takes place. For me the joy of woodturning is seeing what each piece of wood reveals: the grain, texture and color as it turns into a bowl, platter or creative object.
