Mim Meakin began her formal art training at the age of 11 at the Columbus School of Fine Arts in Columbus, GA. She was aware at an early age that drawing and painting would always be her path. Her education continued as a college art major. Though her business career always included such positions as graphic artist, technical illustrator, drafter and mapping technician, her real rewards came from her art work. Painting has provided a sense of balance in her life.
Her wide range of subjects includes landscapes, still lifes, flowers and portraits. She has conducted workshops throughout the US since 1965.
Mim’s one woman shows have been featured in AK, AR, CA, LA, MS, and TN.
Among Corporate collectors are Sears Tower in Chicago, Bank of Commerce in Memphis, & Sanyo Mfg. in Japan.
