Twisting and curving the clay is another way to show how flexible and fluid this medium is, and how you’re only limited by your imagination. When my husband saw me making a twisted vase he commented that it could be a curvaceous woman, so I added the upper half and came out with some nice figurines that are also vases. When he saw me making my Suspended Ikebanu Vase he said he liked the curve and wondered how it would look if it were upside down. That’s how my Asian Rocker Teapot came to be.
